The Labour Party (LP) says it has renamed it’s newly created Directorate of Obidient Affairs, to the Directorate of Mobilisation and Integration.
Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of the party revealed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
According to him, the change of name for the directorate is as a result of controversy trailing the name since it is created.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Directorate of Obidient Affairs was created recently by the leadership of the party for ease of registration and coordination of party members.
Also the directorate was to receive complaints and resolve issues involving members and ensure that that are properly integrated into the party.
The inauguration will take place on Saturday June 8, 2024 at the party’s National Secretariat, Utako, Abuja by 10 am.(NAN)
