Governing Council Chair, Balarabe Abdullahi assumes duty hails President Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda for improvin

The Federal Government and the Yobe State Government, has expressed their commitments to sympathized and enhance the standard of education in the state and the country at large inline with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the education sector.
This forms part of discussion when Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the newly appointed Chairman, Governing Council, Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State led his Council Members and Principal Officers of the institution to visit the Yobe State Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Idris Barde Gubana in Damaturu, Yobe State capital.
The meeting came shortly after Balarabe Abdullahi held the Council’s inaugural sitting in Damaturu, Yobe State.
Balarabe Abdullahi, who was the immediate Past Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly said that they were in the Deputy Governor’s office to inform the Yobe State Government on their assumption on duty as Governing Council members of the institution.
The Council Chairman also outlined their blueprints to reposition the institution in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the education sector.
He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s road-map in the sector saying that it will improved Nigeria’s education system in the long run and fostered institutional growth in the country.
” Your Excellency, we are here to officially inform the Yobe State Government of our resumption as Governing Council members of Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, Yobe State.
” We want to assure the Government of our commitment to reposition the Polytechnic for improved standard of education in the institution, the State of the Country at large.
” As no society or nation will achieve speedy development without good and quality education” he said.
Balarabe promised that they will bring their experiences to bear and make inputs that will see to the progress of the institution, the state and the country at large.
The Chairman of the Governing Council appreciated the state government for the reception accorded the members of the council.
Balarabe Abdullahi also appreciated the state government over its developmental strides in the state promising to put their best for the state and the country at large.
Responding, the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Alhaji Idris Barde Gubana expressed joy with their visit, noting that the government of Yobe State was impressed with the caliber of the council members and urged them to bring their experiences to bear.
The Deputy Governor assured them of effective synergy and support of the government to enable them deliver on their mandates.
He emphasised that with the caliber of people that made up the council, the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu and Yobe State education sector will get a lifeline.
The Deputy Governor commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the former Nasarawa Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi to head the institution, saying he is optimistic on Balarabe and his team ability to deliver.
It would be reported that the Chairman Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Balarabe Abdullahi also led his council members to pay a courtesy visit to the Emir of Damaturu, HRH Dr Shehu Hashimi 11 Ibn Umar El-kanemi to seek for his royal blessings where the Royal Father hailed Balarabe’s foresight and wished them well in their new assignment.
He assured them of full support of the traditional institution to enable them succeed.
Similarly, while in Yobe State, the Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has held inaugural meeting of the council members and also interfaced with management of the institution where prominent issues that will make a new phase for the institution were brought to table.
Balarabe Abdullahi also met and interfaced with other critical stakeholders and head of security that have roles to play on their mandates for the development of the institution.
