……….. Hon. Ogazi, Education Commissioner John Mamman, LG chair, other stakeholders of Kokona LG attended the meeting. 

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has distributed N20,000 each to 200 people in his Kokona LGA of the State. 

This, the Speaker said was to cushion the effect of the current hardship in the society and improve on their standard of living.

The Speaker, who represents Kokona West constituency distributed the funds during an expanded APC stakeholders meeting he organized for Kokona LGA today in Garaku.

He said that he decided to call for the meeting in order to foster unity among members of the party in the area and to appreciate them for their support to him as Speaker of the House.

Speaker Jatau urged the beneficiaries to ensure judicious use of the money in order to better their living and that of their family members.

” If you will recall, last time I have called for the meeting of APC stakeholders of Nasarawa Western Zone as a party leader in the zone.

” Today I have called for this stakeholders meeting as leader of the party in Kokona LGA to preach unity, reconciliation and forgiveness among party members for the success of the party beyond 2027.

” I have call for this meeting to thank and appreciate you all for the wonderful support that you have been giving to me and Gov. Sule to succeed.

“You can see that all who is who in Kokona LG is here and what I need from you is your prayers and support to succeed,” he said.

The Speaker called for forgiveness among stakeholders and party faithfuls for the success of the party beyond 2027.

“Please I want to appeal to all of us to forgive one another irrespective of what transpired, that is the only way the party will move forward.

“This is time for reconciliation and governance” he said. 

He called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

” His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule is doing his best in improving on the standard of the people of the state.

” His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule has done a lot for Kokona LGA in the area of roads and schools constructions as well as infrastructural development among others.

” Let’s all continue to  support His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi A Sule to succeed” he said. 

He enjoined the people of the State and Nigerians to live in unity, peace and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.

The Speaker, however, appealed to Gov. Sule for appointment of more sons and daughters of Kokona LGA into his cabinet.

On their parts, Hon John Mamman, Commissioner for Education, Hon Daniel Ogah Ogazi (APC- Kokona East) Hon. Awalu Adamu, the Chairman, Kokona LGA appreciated the Speaker for the meeting.

They said that the meeting would go along way in uniting the people and bring progress and development to the area.

They said that Kokona LGA is grateful to Gov. Sule for his people oriented programmes in the area. 

They also appreciated God for the elevation of Jatau to the position of Speaker and assured him of their full support at anytime. 

They urged members of the party to avoid rumour mongering and not to create division and factions in the party in the area but work for peace, unity and progress of the party and the area. 

Earlier, Mr Jacob Terry Bado,  the APC Chairman, Kokona LGA appreciated God, Gov. Sule and members of the House for making Jatau, the Speaker of the state legislature.

He assured the Speaker of their loyalty and support to succeed.

Some beneficiaries, Abubakar Osu and Adamu Zakari appreciated Jatau for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.

They also commended the Speaker for his transparency and all inclusive leadership in the State.

They assured him of their prayers and support at all times.

It was reported that the beneficiaries cut across various tribes and groups and across Kokona LGA.

The meeting had in attendance both serving and former lawmakers, serving and former political office holders from the area among others.
