The National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission (NSIWC) has inaugurated its Service Charter in collaboration with Service Compact with All Nigerians (SERVICOM).

Mr Ekpo Nta, Chairman of NSIWC, announced this on Thursday in Abuja at the inaugural meeting of the charter and the inauguration of the NSIWC committee.

A service charter is a document that represents and expresses the commitments of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) towards their customers regarding service standards, information, choice, and consultation.

Nta commended the SERVICOM management team for the initiative, which aimed to ensure quality service delivery across MDAs.

He praised SERVICOM’s National Coordinator, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli, for transforming the initiative into an international brand.

Nta emphasised the importance of the service charter in restoring the ethical content of the commission’s obligations.

On her part, Akajemeli explained that the charter aimed to achieve customer satisfaction across government organisations by coordinating efforts to develop and implement quality service charters.

She said SERVICOM management was working to change the narrative of operations among MDAs to achieve its mandates in line with President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

“The inauguration aims to sustain enthusiasm, zeal, and commitment to improve service delivery.”
