Association of Rural Electrification Contractors of Nigeria (ARECON) will on Thursday Dec. 5, holds its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) to discuss some challenges bedevilling the country’s electricity generation.

The association National PRO, Mr Rotimi Raheem, disclosed this to journalists at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

He said that the theme for the AGM is “Addressing re-occuring National Grid collapse: Roles of Rural Electrification Contractors and Solutions for Energy Efficiency”.

According to him, many dignitaries are expected at the AGM to help broaden their knowledge on how to tackle the re-occuring national grid collapse.

He said other burning issues which will also form part of the development of the country’s power sector will also be discuss at the AGM.

Raheem appreciated the regular support ARECON is getting from the Managing Director of Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Mr Abba Abubakar Aliyu and other important stakeholders in the Power industry saying all their impact on the association are well noted.
