The Editorial Board of OurNigeria News Magazine is set to confer the Man of the Year Award on the President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Alinko Dangote, for his contributions to national development.
This is contained in a statement by the the Publisher of the Magazine, Dr Muhammed Abubakar, on Friday in Abuja.
Abubakar said the News medium had been honoring credible and deserving Nigerians since 2019 for their contributions to the development of Nigeria, particularly in the areas of the economy, security, and defense.
He said the Nomination and Selection Committee ratified the nomination of Dangote as “Man of the Year for 2024”.
This decision, according to him, is based on his spectacular and innovative achievements in the oil and gas sector, which include the establishment of Nigeria’s first state-of-the-art private petroleum refinery, the largest in Africa.
“We want to publicly acknowledge and commend the Dangote brand for this noble effort, as it will significantly transform the Nigerian oil and gas industry.
“The award will be formally presented to Alhaji Aliko Dangote, along with other distinguished Nigerians, on Jan. 30, at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
“The ceremony will be chaired by Alh. Abdulmutallab Umar,” he said.
