“••••• as Akwanga APC Chairman, Hon Abbas, others urge Hon Ven- Bawa to re-contest in 2027••••”

Member representing Akwanga North Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Larry Ven-Bawa, has disbursed N10million scholarships to over 600 students in his constituency studying in various tertiary institutions.

Hon Ven-Bawa, who is the Chief Whip of the House disclosed this at the 2nd Edition of Annual Value Addition Scholarship Empowerment Scheme, 2025 in Akwanga today

Hon Ven-Bawa, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Health said that the gesture was to improve on the standard of education in his constituency and the state at large.

According to him, the beneficiaries cut across Ancho B, Ningha’an, Agyaga, Nunku, Ningo/Bohar and Andaha wards.

” I will continue to add value to the lives of the people of my constituency.

” I have done well and still doing in the area of fertilizers, employment, empowerment, admission, water supply, health among others.

“Today, I have decided to disburse N20, 000 each to 30 Post Graduate Students N15,000 each to over 400 degree students and N10,000 each to over 200 non-degree students such as NCE, Diploma.

” This is to support your parents via reducing the burden of school fees on your parents and guardians.

” It is also part of my determination in complementing His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule’s efforts in the education sector,” he said.

Hon Ven Bawa urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money to actualise their academic goals.

“I want to urge all the beneficiaries to ensure that they use the fund for the purpose for which it was given,” he added.

Hon Ven- Bawa assured the people of his constituency of continued effective and quality representation at the state Assembly.

“By the grace of God, I will continue to represent you well by continue to initiate different good policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on your lives and the lives of others,” he said.

He also urged the students to take their studies serious in order to excel in their academic pursuits and considering the importance of education to human and societal development.

The lawmaker further urged the students to shun examination mal practice, cultism, and other social vices in the interest of their education and societal development.

Hon Ven-Bawa called on the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.

” His Excellency, Engr. A A Sule is doing well in the education sector among other sectors of the economy in the state.

” Let’s continue to give our maximum support and pray for His Excellency and other leaders to succeed and to enable us enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.

In their good will messages, Hon Kwanta Yakubu, immediate past Commissioner for Environment, Hon Mohammed Sameel , Commissioner One, SUBEB, Hon Monday Magaji, Speaker, Akwanga Local Government Legislative Council, Hon Abbas Liman, APC Chairman, Akwanga LGA, Hon Iliyasu Tanko Giwa, Chairman, Hon Ven- Bawa Campaign Council, Hajiya Aisha Idris, APC Women Leader, Akwanga LGA and Mr Nathaniel James, member representing Akwanga North Students appreciated the lawmaker for always putting smile on the faces of his constituents.

They called on the students and other people of the constituency to continue to support Ven- Bawa beyond 2027.

They also called on the people of the constituency and other citizens of the state to continue to support Gov. Sule to succeed.

Responding, some of the beneficiaries, Jeremiah Markus, Abdullahi Suleiman, Akawu Solomon among others appreciated Hon Ven-Bawa for the gesture and prayed God to bless him abundantly.

They assured him of their loyalty and support beyond 2027.
