“… as Lawmaker Hon. Musa Ekye constructs 30 years Yelwa Ediya abandoned bridge linking 9 communities in his constituency.

………….. Speaker Jatau, Hon  Musa bag traditional titles of Dan Maliki, Turakin Yelwa Ediya respectively. 

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has commended Hon Musa Ibrahim Abubakar, member representing Doma South Constituency for constructing Yelwa Ediya bridge linking about nine Communities of his constituency which was abandoned for over 30 years. 

This, the Speaker said the 7th Assembly under his watch will continue to ensure that the legislators deliver their campaign promises to their people just as he called on the people of the constituency and the State at large to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.

The Speaker gave the commendation while commissioning Yelwa Ediya bridge constructed by Hon. Musa today in Yelwa Ediya community, Ekye Development Area of the State.

The Speaker said that the construction of the bridge would boost agricultural and socio-economic activities of the people of the affected communities.

” As this will go a long way in boosting agricultural activities and improve on the standard of living of the people” he said. 

The Speaker called on the people of the constituency and the State at large to continue to give their maximum support to Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.

He said that Gov. Sule has done well and still doing in all ramifications.

Besides, he called on the people of the constituency and the State at large to continue to live in unity and peace as well as show love to one another.

“Let’s continue to live in unity and peace, that is the best for speedy development to be achieved.

“Let’s shun ethnic and religious politics for the progress of Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large” he said.

Jatau called on the people to support Hon. Musa to succeed beyond 2027.

The Speaker assured that the 7th Assembly Members under his leadership would continue to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to their people.

On his part, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Abubakar, member representing Doma South Constituency said that he decided to construct the bridge in order to link different communities of his constituency.

According to him, this bridge has been there for two to three decades.

“The importance of this bridge is that, it will enhance agricultural activities, commercial activities and will bring the unity and the people together among other benefits.

“This will also improve on the standard of living of the people of the affective communities and its environs” he said. 

Hon. Musa, Chairman, House Committee on LG and Chieftaincy Affairs pledged sound and quality representation at the state legislature. 

“I will continue to initiate different policies and programmes that will have direct bearing on the lives of the people of my constituency” he added. 

Hon. Musa solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable him succeed.

The lawmaker thanked  traditional rulers, youths and women of his constituency for the support he is enjoying from them and called for more.

He also appreciated the Speaker, APC State Chairman, traditional rulers and other stakeholders for gracing the commissioning of the bridge and prayed God to grant them safe journey to their various destinations.

Hon Musa Abubakar Ibrahim also used the occasion and called on the State Deputy Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe to contest for the seat of Senator for Nasarawa South come 2027. 

Also speaking, Dr. Aliyu Bello, APC Chairman, Nasarawa State appreciated Hon. Musa for constructing the bridge.

The APC Chairman also commended Speaker Jatau for providing good leadership in the State.

He called on the people to vote for credible leaders in order to enjoy dividends of democracy.

The APC Chairman promised to pay NECO fees for 10 indigent students in the area, register 10 orphan students for JAMB as he donated wrappers to 20 widows of Oyina Mada community all under Aliyu Bello foundation.

He called on the youths to embrace education and meaningful ventures as well as  co-exist peacefully.

On his part, Hon Anthony Obande, former member representing Doma South constituency has appreciated the Speaker for his love, all inclusive leadership and passion for development.

He said that the people of Ekye has been living in peace and assured of their support to Gov. Sule to succeed.

The former lawmaker, however appealed for the creation of more chiefdom in Ekye Development Area to give them sense of belonging.

Earlier, the Speaker and Hon Musa with their entourage met with  traditional rulers of Ekye at the palace of the village head of Yelwa Ediya,  Mallam Yusuf Danladi Ogbabo for their royal blessings.

The speaker urged them and other people of the area to continue to live in peace with one another.

He also called on them to support Gov. Sule’s good policies and programmes to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The Village Head of  Yelwa Ediya, Mallam Yusuf Danladi Ogbabo conferred the traditional title of Dan Malikin Yelwa Ediya on the Speaker and Turakin Yelwa Ediya on Hon. Musa as well as Dan Amana Yelwa Ediya on Alh. Adamu Shigafata of the Ministry for LG and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The village head, however, appealed for the upgrade of Yelwa Ediya Chiefdom and other chiefdoms in the area as well as creation of more Chiefdom in Ekye, a request the Speaker pledged to intervene.

It would be reported that at Oyina Mada Community, the Speaker and Hon. Musa were decorated with Eggon attires by the community.

It was also reported that the Speaker equally bagged traditional title of Ubangarin Oyina Mada (Eggon) and Hon. Musa bagged Sarki Yakin Oyina Mada by Oyina Mada traditional council where they both assured the community of their readiness to bring speedy development to the community.
