Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has re-assured of his administration continued commitment and determination to improve on the standard of living of legislative staff and other workers in the state.
Sule, represented by Mr David Maiyaki, his Special Adviser on State Assembly Liaison gave the assurance during the 25th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of Parliamentary Staff Association of.Nigeria (PASAN) held at Mosmmera Guest Palace Hotel Lafia today.
The Governor said that he has approved Consolidated Legislative Salary Structure (CONLESS) for PASAN members for improved productivity.
” I have approved CONLESS for PASAN staff, approved absorption of casual staff and employment of new ones for effective service delivery in the House.
” I think my administration has done everything for PASAN members in the state,” he said.
The Governor lauded the 7th assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau for the good working relationship and for giving him all the necessary support to succeed.
” All these things could not be possible without good working relationship given to me by the 7th assembly under the leadership of Rt.Hon. Danladi Jatau.
” As the state is progressing in terms of welfare of workers and infrastructural development among others” the Governor added.
The Governor wished them peaceful and successful deliberation.
On his part, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, the Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has expressed his continued commitment to improve on the welfare of the PASAN members in the state.
” I want to appreciate you for chosen Nasarawa State for your NEC meeting .
” I also want to appreciate you for the struggle in sustaining democracy. It was as a result of your struggles that the State Houses of Assembly have gotten financial autonomy.
” You have played and still playing great roles in ensuring passage of bills and resolutions in your respective Houses of Assembly as PASAN members” he said.
Jatau said that his administration has improved on the standard of living of PASAN members and created good working environment for optimal productivity.
The Speaker thanked Gov. Sule for the good working relationship and assured him of continued synergy and collaboration for the overall development of the State.
In his welcome address, the National President of PASAN, Comrade Mohammed Usman, has expressed gratitude to Gov. Sule for his visionary leadership which has transformed the state positively.
” Under your administration, Nasarawa State has witnessed unprecedented progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare and social welfare programs.
“Your commitment to improving the lives of the people of Nasarawa is commendable and it serves as an inspiration to leaders across the nation.
He also commended the Governor for the implementation of CONLESS, regular promotions and other welfare packages to PASAN members.
The National President also appreciated Speaker Danladi Jatau for his love and continued support to PASAN and its members and called for its sustenance.
” Your leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of transparency, accountability and professionalism within the legislative arm of government.
He further urged all PASAN members to bring issues that would enhance the growth and development of the union and its members.
In his vote of thanks, Mr Suleiman Oshafa , the Chairman, PASAN Nasarawa State commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule and Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau for their efforts in improving the welfare of PASAN members in the state.

Oshafa assured of his administration’s readiness to continued to initiate different policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the members in the state.
