Senior Stakeholders from Niger South Senatorial District have commended President Bola Tinubu, for his commitment to road projects across the country and called for quick fix of Lapai-Agaie-Bida road.

The forum stated this in a statement by its Chairman, Dr Mohammed Santuraki, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Santuraki also praised Tinubu’s infrastructure reforms, saying the road projects had brought significant improvements to the country’s transportation network.

According to him, President Tinubu’s infrastructure reforms are part of his administration’s efforts to address country’s significant infrastructure gap, estimated to be around 878 billion dollars.

“The Renewed Hope Infrastructure Fund, recently unveiled by the President, was aimed to raise N20 trillion to support critical infrastructure projects, such as major road networks, rail lines, ports, and aviation facilities, across the country,” he said.

Santuraki, who is also the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Minna, said that many roads were wearing good looks across the country through Tinubu’s intervention.

He however, urged quick completion of Lapai-Agaie-Bida road to reduce the rate of accident on the road.

According to him, the Lambata-Lapai road had been fixed, many lives have been lost in recent times due to the bad state of the section of Lapai-Agaie-Bida road.

“Bad roads claim lives daily, and because every human life is valuable, fixing all roads must be a priority,” he added.
