Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Sa’ad, member representing Umaisha/ Ugya constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has distributed rice, clothes, JAMB forms, mosquito nets and financial support to women and other people of his constituency.
The gesture according to the legislature worth N55million aimed at reducing the plight of the people of his constituency.
Hon Sa’ad (PDP) made the distribution today Saturday in Umaisha, Toto LGA.
The lawmaker said the distribution cut across the six electoral wards of Umaisha, Ugya, Shege, Katakpa, Dausu and Kenyahu of the constituency respectively.
According to him, I have distributed 2000 bags of Ten kilograms of Rice, One Hundred bags of Fifty kilograms of Rice, Four Hundred JAMB forms to Four Hundred students, One Hundred pieces of already made clothes, Two Hundred pieces of mosquito nets and Fifty thousand naira grant each for sixty women respectively.
He said that the gesture was to put smile on the faces of his constituents before, during and after the Sallah celebration.
The lawmaker appreciated his constituents for their support to him and the government of Engr. Abdullahi Sule encouraging them to continue in that direction.
” This is to enable you enjoy more dividend of democracy” he said.
Hon. Sa’ad said that the gesture was also to appreciate the people for their mandate given to him and assured them of more good days ahead.
“Today I am distributing rice, clothes, mosquito nets, cash and JAMB forms to students, this is to reduce the hardship being faced by the people .
” This is also to improve on the standard of living of my constituents.
” It is in continuation of what we have started last year, this year we double what was provided to the people of Umaisha/Ugya last year” he said.
The lawmaker said that the programme is going to be an annual programme.
He solicited for the prayers and support of all and Sundry to enable him and Gov. Sule succeed.
Hon Sa’ad also pledged sound and quality representation at the state legislature.
” I want to urge my people to be patient and pray for me to succeed, I will never disappoint them” he said.
Besides, the lawmaker appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his effort in addressing the security challenges in the area and the state in general.
” His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi Sule is a man of peace, he has done well in ensuring that our people sleep with their two eyes closed.
” I commend him for that and I want to call on you to support his good policies and programme to succeed.
” I am going to lobby through the office of the Governor to bring more infrastructural development to my people in addition to the ongoing road construction in Dausu ward among others.
Also speaking, Nasarawa State People Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga while presenting the items and cash support to the constituents said that Hon. Sa’ad is making them proud.
He rated the performance of Hon. Sa’ad high in terms of provision of dividends of democracy to his people.
Adamu Bako added that ” We in PDP believe in the welfare of our people. Our people are our priority and we will continue to take care of them.
” All of our members are doing well in the state and national assembly. We are happy with their performances.
” From what Hon. Sa’ad Ibrahim Abdullahi is doing it has shown that he deserve to be given another term so that he can continue the good work he has started” he said.
He assured that PDP will take over power from APC and return to Government House Shendam road in 2027.
The PDP Chairman encouraged the beneficiaries of the items and the JAMB forms to pray and support the member at all times.
He urged the students to study hard and become better future leaders.
On his part, the Ohimegye Opanda, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi who was represented by the Madaki of Opanda commended Hon. Sa’ad for touching on the lives of the people positively, especially at this period of Ramadan.
He said Hon. Sa’ad is a good son and representative of the people thus encouraging him to continue with the good things he is doing.
” We are praying for him, we are grateful, and we will continue to pray for his success now and beyond” he said.
Earlier the delegation of the PDP EXCO led by its Chairman paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Ohimegye Opanda.
The delegation said they were in the palace to appreciate the Royal Father for supporting Hon. Sa’ad to succeed and to seek for royal blessing..
