Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will record land slide victory in the Nov.2, 2024 local government election in the State.
This, the Speaker said, is due to the achievements recorded by Gov. Abdullahi Sule and ruling APC in the State.
The Speaker stated this during APC Stakeholders meeting of Nasarawa Western Zone today in Keffi LGA.
Speaker Jatau who address the press shortly after the closed door meeting revealed that all APC aspirants in the zone who did not get the Party’s ticket has agreed to support the consensus candidates.
He said that the meeting was to discuss and prepare ahead of Gov. Sule’s flagging off Campaign and Presentation of APC candidates for the zone in Keffi this coming Wednesday.
” You will recalled that APC has organized its primaries where Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates have emerged.
” His Excellency, Engr A A Sule will be in Keffi on Wednesday this week for official flag off of campaign in the zone.
” We are here to prepare for his Excellency’s visit to the zone and we are set to receive His Excellency” the Speaker said.
The Speaker also disclosed that all aspirants that contested and lost during the primary have agreed to work together for the victory of the party.
” We have discussed and all the aspirants have agreed and accepted to work together for the victory of all of our candidates in the upcoming local government election” He said.
The Speaker called on the people of the state to continue to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
Also speaking, Dr Faisal Shuaib, former Executive Director/CEO, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) called on the people of the state to come out enmass and vote all candidates of APC during the Nov.2nd LG election.
” We are here to prepare for the forthcoming local government election in the state.
” We have a fruitful discussion and by God’s grace victory will be ours in the Nov. 2nd Local Government election in the state” he said.
Dr Faisal commended Gov. Sule for transparent concensus where APC chairmanship and councillorship candidates emerged.
Earlier, Mr Isaiah Aga, the APC Zonal Chairman, Keffi Western Zone appreciated the Speaker and other stakeholders for attending the meeting.
He assured of their readiness to mobilise support for the success of the party in the election and beyond.
It would be reported that the meeting had in attendance Dr Faisal Shuaib, Former Chief Executive Officer, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Hon. Aliyu Tijani, Federal Commissioner/ Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) Arch. Shehu Tukura, Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna, former Executive Vice Chairman of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)
Others were, Hon. Muhammed Garba Isimbabi, Member Representing Toto/Gadabuke at the State Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana, Member Representing Keffi West at the State Assembly, former lawmakers and Barr. Labaran Magaji, State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice among other stakeholders.
